Scientific Data & FIT Reviews

Since 2008 the FIT test has been recommended as a replacement for guaiac (Hemmocult®) cards, which the American College of Gastroenterology states should be abandoned as a method for CRC screening.  The Fecal Immunochemical Test has been studied extensively over the last decade, and every major authoritative body recommends FIT as a Colon Cancer Screening Test.  Physicians notably appreciate:

  1. Accuracy
  2. Ease of Use
  3. Lack of Diet/Medicine Restrictions
  4. A Single Sample (vs. 2, or 3) with other tests
  5. Profitability From Performing the Test
